Dear Cypress Families,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at Cypress Elementary School. Returning to Cypress after two years is truly a homecoming, and I am honored to continue serving this amazing community. I look forward to strengthening the relationships that make Cypress special and ensuring that grace, respect, and collaboration remain at the heart of all we do.

As we begin a new school year, the safety, well-being, and success of every student, staff member, and family remain our highest priorities. Together, we will continue to soar by fostering a positive learning environment where all students feel supported, valued, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience and nurturing both the academic and social-emotional growth of every child.

I am proud to share that Cypress Elementary has earned an “A” school grade, a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated each day by our students, staff, and families. This achievement serves as a foundation as we continue preparing students for success in an ever-changing world. We strive to cultivate essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and accountability.

This year, we are excited to build upon our work in language acquisition and literacy by strengthening students’ foundational skills through targeted instruction, meaningful learning experiences, and collaborative conversations. Coupled with our continued focus on character development, these efforts will help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our success depends on the strong partnership we share with you, our families. We encourage you to become actively involved in our school community by attending School Advisory Council (SAC) and School Advisory Forum (SAF) meetings, volunteering, participating in school events, and staying engaged in your child’s education. Your support plays a vital role in creating a positive and enriching experience for all students.
